River beach on the Varosa River

Distance: 500 m

Located next to the medieval bridge. Along the Varosa River, more river beaches appear, such as in Ucanha (about 100 m from the Romanesque bridge), or near Vila Pouca/Murganheira, the latter with natural waterfalls. Near the river's source, there is a small lagoon close to the town of Bustelo, after passing Vilarinho (6 km).

Santa Helena Mountain Range

Distance: 10 km

With expansive views of the Serra da Estrela mountain range to the south and the Serra do Marão/Alvão mountain range to the north. Ideal for mountain walks and picnics. Its summit, at approximately 1100 m, can be reached by car. There is an area for paragliding.

Varosa walkways

Distance: approximately 18 km

They are located near the Varosa River dam and offer two impressive viewpoints.

Vilar Dam

Distance: 30 km

It dams the Távora River, with a pine forest along the reservoir's banks that extends to the sandy area of several river beaches, where the water temperature is very pleasant in the summer.
